Support

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
These EMT's have saved my life more than 3x. If this is what AMR is charging for transport and medical attention, then they need to pay their EMT's more! They are the backbone to that company. I was an EMT on call, but I had to quit because I was only making minimum wage and could not support my children on that wage. I was making 10.55 an hour at another job. I would have loved to have made a career out of being an emt, but it was not feasible to quit my other job that supported my family.

The EMT was very rude, unprofessional, lacked ethics. Literally stomped on a new purse that I had just received.

Did not allow me to ride in the ambulance with my significant other although I had a mask on.

Took my significant others State identification out of my hand and refused to return it. And the identification has not been located and was not at the emergency room upon arrival.

I agree with this lady, same thing happened to me. AMR ambulance personnel were unprofessional, disrespectful especially the ambulance driver. He is the big idiot among them.

AMR may be a lousy company (and judging from reviews they likely are), but please don’t attribute racism to a company or employee without more facts. That is a strong allegation to throw around, and it’s done far too easily lately. It appears AMR gives lots of people crummy service.

This guy stomped on my purse. It is based on facts as I am the one who experienced this directly from the EMT.

What other reason would he have to treat someone who needs medical attention this way? I never even received a response back from the company.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I was intemidate into a payment plan while waiting for insurance to complete my claim. Got on said payment plan and now they are threatening me with collections because I owe less then the monthly payment amount and they don't know how to make that work. I attempt to make payments to them and they won't accept them. NEVER AGAIN - LET ME DIE IN THE STREET!

I was dealing with chemotherapy for the 2nd time and was very I'll, I had to use an ambulance 3 times in 2018 due to being so sick from the medication. I never called an Ambulance just because. I was following orders from my doctor and in my greatest time in need my insurance which was Medicare due to being disabled, did not cover any of the rides. I have paid what I can but it still sits in my credit report unpaid because I chose to pay for medication to stay alive. Why is this possible

See if you have a insurance depart that help resolve billing issues with companies. Here in arka6 we have a depart.

We have a Depart that looks into any insurance issues. Life, auto and health. See if your state has Department of insurance.

Disappointed customer service

Writing this in regard to the customer service and billing of AMR. I have never experienced anxiety from a customer care service, a place that is supposed to helping people but rather is doing the exact opposite, if not making matters worse.

Long story, short I had one claim with them in 2018 (no problems, coded correctly, everything fine) and then in 2020 I had the same exact claim where I have been on the phone countless of times with AMR representatives.

To sum it up, AMR told me they coded it incorrectly and they would resend it. I then continued to have follow up conversations with them and insurance and they indicated that they are still processing. Not until I called insurance again, for them to tell me that they aren't going to resend it (aka someone/multiple someone's clearly lied to my face and kept me having to keep calling).

First, why this claim was code differently from the first time is confusing to me and second, how they lied and treated me is beyond belief.

Every time I spoke someone they didn't listen to my questions and would repeat what they wanted to say.

Overall the worst organization I have ever dealt with!

I tried to give them feedback and they don't even care. Just feeling left with anxiety.

I don't remember the specifics. I know I was trying to obtain medical records and billing for a client, and was unable to find a working phone number or address or email. No one has contacted me.

Ridiculous Charge

Hospital Emergency Room personnel requested authorization for helicopter transport to other hospital. Granted. Later got $1000+ bill from AMR for ambulance service. Bill was questioned, asking for details about where to where. Response was from xxx avenue to ER campus, actually same location. Refused to pay. happens

Original review Jul 11, 2021

AMR transferred my minor daughter to another facility AGAINST our wishes. They strapped my daughter down like a wild animal then over sedated her with Ativan.

Then they had the nerve to send an outrageous bill for their services AFTER our insurance negotiated payment with them. I called AMR about the bill to let them know that we didn't approve of their services AND Cigna paid the negotiated price and said we were not responsible for balance because of the negotiated fee. I was informed by AMR that they could bill whatever they wanted even though they already negotiated the price with Cigna. I contacted AMR again to inform them that Cigna requested they put the bill on hold so they could investigate.

AMR refused, they sent me a letter saying I was being turned over to collections. The bottom line, AMR is a corrupt company that believes it's acceptable to DOUBLE BILL patients!

They can strap children to a stretcher and oversedate them to make their job easier. This company should be put out of business.

Medical billing

Medical billing was received but was not billed to insurance company, instead was turned over to collection agency. Contacted collection agency, who in return build insurance and was paid the biggest portion of the bill. However the remaining portion of the bill was never sent to the patient, instead a bill was received for the remaining balance from the call
